On July 1st I decided to start a 31 day fast, reset, & renew where I began to limit & quit (fasting) unwanted habits & behaviors that might be stunting my growth. I also added/reestablished (renewed) healthy and wanted habits into my life. Often times we put off doing things that are so important to our personal growth and development. We say we will wait until next month or the new year to start or stop something but we never do. So I wanted to be a woman of my word & take this time out to focus on my own personal growth & development. As we all know it takes 21 days to make and break a habit so imagine what can be accomplish within 31 days.
Many people wanna know how they can join in on the fast & renew that I am doing and what all they must do. Well it's pretty simple, make a list of habits you wanna break & habits you wanna establish or reestablish in your life. It can be physical, mental, spiritual, & emotional changes. It can range from adding more fruits & vegetables in your eating habits, thinking positive thoughts & say positive words in your life, committing to being slow to anger, work out more, lose a couple of pounds, do more/spend more time with your children or spouse/significant other, or starting a spiritual practice. Whatever you see fit to add & take away from your life, just remember it's your life & your choice! At the end of the day you have to do what makes you feel happy & healthy.
Also don't think so hard about how to do this. Take this one day at a time! It's the small steps that amount up to the big ones but consistency is key! If you wanna make those changes stick then it can't be something you do every now & then. You will have to do this daily and even when you don't feel like it! It may be hard at times but it will definitely be well worth it.
So far my journey is showing me a lot in terms of dedication, consistency, & growth. If you decide to join me on this fast & reset/renew journey, please keep me posted on your progress. I would love to know how you all are doing! Peace & Love Y'all!!!
