I dislike when life takes such unexpected twists & turns. I know I have control over the things that are within my power to fix but there are just some things that I personally can't stop from happening. WHAT DO YOU DO THEN??? DO YOU GIVE UP?? CONSIDER YOURSELF TO BE UNLUCKY?? WHAT???
Well many people including myself "cry it out"!!! But as my Godmother has taught me, it's okay to cry. After you're done crying you must get yourself together & action must take place. Holding your emotions in or allowing yourself to act off of your emotions is never a good solution and neither is acting without thinking things through. You have to choose to resolve/handle the outcome of your circumstance/situation in the best way that you can without allowing it to swallow you & everyone around you whole.
So how did I handle all of this coming my way? Well first I cried..Yes I did lol!! My tears flow whether I'm sad or angry. In my culture, water symbolizes cleansing & a new beginning so all things that are associated with that (i.e. rain, tears, bathing, etc.) bring about a washing away of the old & bringing in the new. Once I was I done crying & I got my emotions out of the way & I was able to effectively communicate to myself & others how I would like to move forward from whatever it is that I was going through.
The one thing that I always remember is that I'm alive! I'm here! I have wonderful family & friends in my life & day by day I'm walking in my life's purpose! Why waste time being sad & depressed about my current circumstance/situation. As my grandma use to say, "this to shall pass". So when you have a day(s) or week(s) like I have had then take a moment to let your emotions out then get back on task! "Don't let your breakdowns keep you away from your breakthroughs!"
And Always Remember When Things In Life Get You Down, Just Kept Swimming!!!
