I've been on a bit of a hiatus from blogging y'all while I got more focused on business & personal things in my life but now I'm back! It was definitely a much needed break. Sometimes we move so fast through all of life's day to day moments, dealing with the children, your loved ones, working within the community, commuting to & from work, getting things straight for your business, etc. & we never really take the time out to check in with ourselves! That constant state of movement can eventually lead to burn out & unfortunately I was beginning to feel some of the effects of that in my life. A good sister friend of mine always talks about how the healer has to able to know when they need their own healing and has to be able to tap back into that before they can continue to guide others with toward their own healing. Remembering that you can't help others if you don't 1st help yourself or continue to take care of yourself was important to me so I did just that!
Well let me tell you...that time away has truly allowed me to tap back into myself & my life's purpose. I always think of the Fall & Winter time as a time for a person to begin to go within themselves to rest, reflect, & recharge. It for me is similar to hibernation. As we move into Spring, we begin to see a shift from rest & recharging to a renewal. The earth reawakens from it's slumber and opens up with new life. In nature as well as in our own lives, Spring can be connected to & very symbolic of starting new projects, sewing new seeds in your life, and the coming forth with new ideas. Bringing forth what we learned & reflected on from the Fall & Winter to rebirth & moving forward with a renewed spirit in the Spring. This what it's all about!
Even though in some areas of the world the weather at this time isn't quite reflecting what Spring is all about, it shouldn't stop you from having & making the warming feelings of spring shine through in your life!
Some of the things that I have chosen to do as I step out with my renewed spirit in Spring is to find time for more moments where I can meditate. I joined Oprah & Deepak Chopra on the 21 Day meditation experience that was centered around manifesting true success in your life. I am currently on day 18 but I already feel like this was truly empowering for me & like food to my soul! I have done more yoga in order to awaken my body & get the blood flowing as well as doing some personal reflection by writing in my journal. I also did a 21 day raw food cleanse to prepare my body for Spring. Letting go of the sluggish & tired feelings I had during the Winter & preparing my body to eat the fresh foods that are grown throughout the Spring & Summer.
Doing all of this has brought more energy into my life & has connected me more to myself. I have become even more aware of & connected to my mind, body, & spirit as the sunlight begins to last longer with each passing day. I really do feel a renewed sense of self. Now I am ready to fully get back into writing & sharing with you all words of encouragement, my insight in various situations, peace, & love.
I hope you all are taking some time out to renew your mind, body, & spirit as we move into Spring. Well...If you aren't then TODAY would a great day to start. If you have already started on a path towards a Spring renewal, then please feel free to share what you have going on! You never know you might inspire someone else to do the same!
Well Until Next Lovely People! Happy Spring & Continue To Walk In Your Greatness!
Peace & Blessings!!!
